THE HEIR TO AN EARLDOM RETURNS…
Major Gabriel Prideaux returns to England to find his claim to the earldom as tenuous as ever, his brother in a lunatic asylum, and his oldest friend guarding the streets at night as the Covent Guard. At every turn, there is another catastrophe just waiting for Gabe, but being home after many years away, he finds that his thoughts keep returning to the one girl he’s always loved, especially when he stumbles upon her in a most surprising place and in an even more surprising attire
…STILL IN LOVE WITH THE ONE LADY HE CAN NEVER HAVE
Miss Sophia Hampton has always been reckless, but no more so than when she dons a pageboy outfit to sneak into her cousin’s bachelor lodgings to beg for his help with their dictatorial grandfather. However, the last person she ever expected to find upon her arrival was Gabriel Prideaux. How unfortunate that her heart still beats for him even after all these years, especially considering the way he left her and never looked back.
My Review

Another amazing read from Ava! I couldn’t put it down until I finished it. I was hooked from the start with his brother and her dressing like a pageboy. I could not figure out why her father was the way he was to him until it was revealed and that was a twist I didn’t see coming at all. I didn’t expect her to do what she did when he was leaving or their wedding that is a favorite of mine. I never saw the twist about his brother’s treasure coming or everything that came from it. This was one I didn’t want to end, but the epilogue is my all time favorite.
Sophia is determined to know what her father isn’t telling her and to help her cousin. I loved her as soon as she talked to her father and how she knew how to get what she wanted. She didn’t hide her feelings and didn’t care what others thought about everything. She is a favorite.
Gabe had been told a shocking secret four years ago and then returns shocked to find his brother dying. I knew I was going to love him because of how much he cared about his brother. He tried so hard to protect everything and everyone, but it was going to destroy him. He is also a favorite of mine.
This is a must read and all time favorite.

Did you reveal some spoilers in that review? Thanks for making the book sound worthy to read. Everyone is so busy these days and reading time is usually a stolen section of the day. 🙂
